It Takes Two es el GOTY de una gala marcada por la expulsión de Activision Blizzard
La gala de los Game Awards se ha convertido en uno de los más importantes expositores para desarrolladores de juegos y productoras de cine. Anoche se estrenaron los tráilers de Sonic The Hedgehog 2 y de la serie de Halo, y se anunciaron juegos como Sonic Frontiers, el primer Sonic de mundo abierto, Slitterhead, un juego de terror del creador de Silent Hill, o Dune: Spice Wars, un nuevo juego de estrategia en tiempo real basado en la franquicia de Dune.
Pero no olvidemos que es una entrega de premios, quizá la más importante del año, y que por fin tenemos GOTY 2021. It Takes Two de Hazelight Studios, el divertido plataformas que solo puede jugarse en modo cooperativo entre dos jugadores (ya sea online o a pantalla partida), ha superado a títulos como Deathloop y Metroid Dread, convirtiéndose en el nuevo juego del año.
En una gala marcada por la expulsión de Activision Blizzard por las acusaciones de abuso y acoso contra sus empleados, los Game Awards volvieron a reunir al resto de la industria en persona, en el Microsoft Theater de Los Ángeles, para revelar los juegos más destacados de cada categoría según un jurado integrado por miembros de la prensa y personas influyentes, con un 10% de los votos ponderados según las opiniones de los fans. Por cierto, Halo Infinite, que apenas estrenó el miércoles su campaña, se ha llevado el premio Player’s Choice a mejor juego del año según la comunidad.
