Un niña defiende a su muñeca de color de los comentarios de un adulto

El empleado cuestionó a la madre de la pequeña diciendo: “¿No preferiría una muñeca que se parezca a ella?”.

Sophia es una niña de tan solo dos años que ha conquistado las redes sociales por la singular respuesta que le dio a un cajero de una tienda en Carolina del Sur, EU.

La pequeña Sophia acudió a la tienda con su madre, Brandi Benner, donde le tomó 20 minutos elegir una muñeca y una vez que la tuvo se dirigieron a la caja, donde el empleado cuestionó a la madre diciendo: “¿No preferiría una muñeca que se parezca a ella?”.

“¡Ella es igual que yo! Es doctora y yo soy doctora. Es guapa y yo también. ¿No ves su pelo bonito? ¿Y su estetoscopio?”, contestó la niña al ser cuestionada por llevar una muñeca de raza negra.

La respuesta de Sophia fue publicada en redes sociales por su madre Brandi y se hizo viral en Facebook. La mujer está orgullosa de su hija, puesto que no necesitó defenderla.

Hasta el momento la publicación en la que se muestra a la pequeña Sophia abrazada de su muñeca negra se ha compartido en más de 194 mil ocasiones y suma ya cerca 30 mil comentarios en los que los internautas aplauden la respuesta de la niña.

Nick and I told Sophia that after 1 whole month of going poop on the potty, she could pick out a special prize at Target. She, of course, picked a new doll. The obsession is real. While we were checking out, the cashier asked Sophia if she was going to a birthday party. We both gave her a blank stare. She then pointed to the doll and asked Sophia if she picked her out for a friend. Sophia continued to stare blankly and I let the cashier know that she was a prize for Sophia being fully potty trained. The woman gave me a puzzled look and turned to Sophia and asked, «Are you sure this is the doll you want, honey?» Sophia finally found her voice and said, «Yes, please!» The cashier replied, «But she doesn’t look like you. We have lots of other dolls that look more like you.» I immediately became angry, but before I could say anything, Sophia responded with, «Yes, she does. She’s a doctor like I’m a doctor. And I’m a pretty girl and she’s a pretty girl. See her pretty hair? And see her stethoscope?» Thankfully the cashier decided to drop the issue and just answer, «Oh, that’s nice.» This experience just confirmed my belief that we aren’t born with the idea that color matters.
